Cook & Book map

18:30, 1 place du Temps Libre…a nice relaxing location with a street name that fits perfectly.

I (linotherhino) had never gone to Cook & Book and must admit it is truly a wet dream for book afficionados. All languages, all styles, just an endless walk into book paradise.

I thought I arrived first and was kind of wandering around to see if anyone else was there until I spot Letzi (letzi83) at a table outside…with a bloke. Hmmmm: was she here for the EU Girl Geek meet up or on a date? Finally, Catherine (kattebel) joined me and she was bold enough to step to go straight to Letzi and we joined her at the table. The date was not truly a date but a friend she bumped into and, ladies, just for the record, there is a very cute Italian anesthetist hanging out at Cook & Book!

Soon, Alia (eurocentrique) joined (well at least physically, as her mind was constantly shared with teh many phone calls she had to take care off..journo and Ozzie/Greek: a recipee for phone addiction, I guess), then Caroline (rollingtalks), Aurélie (avaltat), Alexandra (anda19) and Laurence (europasionaria) joined, at which point Alia started to show her art of persuasion in trying to convince the waiter in drying up one of the adjacent tables so we could “expand our empire”. It took her two tries but she succeeded! And finally, Anne (Anne_EU_webteam) and Dana (Dana_Council) completed the picture of a very enjoyable evening.
