Where EU girl geeks connect
The second EU Girl Geek meet up took place at lunch time at Coco’s on Place Luxembourg.
We were already a serious crowd, with more than a dozen participants and the “special guest appearance” of Clo Willaerts, aka @bnox, the lady behind the Brussels Girl Geek Dinners.
Our lunch having ended at 3 pm, we decided that dinners could be more appropriate going forward if we wanted to avoid transforming our EU Girl Geek gatherings into EU Girls looking for a job events.
The Brussels Girl Geek Dinner already exists...Table607 can be considered a "sub-section" of this event, as it brings together "EU Girl Geeks", i.e. women that combine a geekiness that is both linked to techie stuff and to the EU bubble. The first events were organised by Catherine De Vulder (kattebel) and Laurence (europasionaria) in 2009, and since then, the circle of EU Girl Geeks hasn't stopped growing and is now online thanks to Caroline (linotherhino)...and as for the code name, read our "About" page
