The nice thing about EU Girl Geek events is the fact that they are now starting to feel comfortable (as in “usual”) whilst still being totally different every time. So let’s do the same for this post and rather than one person writing it, I am asking all the EU girl geeks present at Cook & Book at our 4th edition to use the comments zone to give their impressions, suggestions, jokes (no lingerie jokes admitted any more, sorry), etc.

My impression: fun, learnt stuff, laughed a lot, met new faces, wanna do it again :)

Now you write the rest of the blog post, ladies!

  1. Fun definitely! I also heard classy :) Wish i had multiple listening organs to ear you all. Energised by the Table607spirit and Amazed on @Linotherhino Table607 customisation. Promised will set up wiki for next one to manage the registration process! Thanks Girls !

  2. Now, you’re probably wondering why we look like a football team on the picture all wearing that europa.eu T-shirt?
Well it’s all thanks to the generosity of Anne from the Commission’s web team (@Anne_EU_webteam). Alia (@eurocentrique) had requested a T-shirt. Anne decided to bring some for all of us. Thanks Anne!

As always, I had a fab time and was amazed by all the talent and general niceness of all the girls around the table, not to mention the fun factor!

It’s great to see that since the first edition last Autumn, the initiative has gathered so many more fantastic women. As Lino (@linotherhino) says, it’s starting to feel comfortable, in the sense that it’s always a pleasure to see again the first EU Girl Geeks that got on board, and it’s refreshing to see new faces each time.

This time our special guest was MEP Marietje Schaake (@MarietjeD66). Kudos to Marietje for taking part in spontaneous initiatives like ours. You rock!

I’m glad the network is taking off and I look forward to our 1-year anniversary :)

My first EGG (EU Girl Geeks) dinner and it was really nice! Good company, comfy place around books, great talks. Looking forward for the next one!

  4. any idea of the next one? I’ll try to be in Brussels then. Not having much success with a UK one so far, which tells its own story :)

  5. Europasionaria says:

@EUonym Next one should be in September-ish. Date not set yet. But we’ll for sure keep you posted!

  6. linotherhino says:

Somewhere in September but no date set so we could ensure it fits your schedule too

  7. Europasionaria says:

aha! Amazing! Lino and I replying to a comment exactly at the same time :)

  8. Hi girls,

This was yet another great edition – good food, books around, and most importantly, great company. I want to join Europasionaria in the kudos to MEP Marietje Schaake (@MarietjeD66) because I was impressed by her poise and her enthusiasm. Reminded me of my enthusiasm and faith in humanity when I was studying politics and wanted to go into politics :)

But there’s definitely something we need to add for the next edition – we can’t just leave it there, after all this nice food and conversation, I suggest we end the evening on some music and dancing!

  9. Last week of September would be great (starting 27 September). If it were possible to fit in with that, it’d be great!
